On to the survey...Collectors are driven by curiosity and passion to financial gain and tax relief. While some feel an emotional involvement with their collection, others view them as disposable assets akin to stocks, bonds, and real estate. Still others collect for a combination of reasons. Despite those differences, collectors are subject to the unpredictable life forces of dollars, disputes, divorce, and death. Thus, the wise collector of fine, decorative, or collectible property plans for the lifetime ownership of an object or a collection and for its disposition. The Association of Collecting Clubs and Laurence C. Zale Associates, an independent visual arts advisory firm for collectors, in collaboration with financial experts, has created a collector's survey for members of the ACC and NAC (National Association of Collectors). Our aim is to provide collectors with independent guidance on the acquisition, ownership and disposition of an object or a collection. We will offer strategic business planning in all phases of collecting and collaborate with experts in the related fields. In order to be of value to collectors, we need to know what services are most important to them. That's why we need you to complete our survey and include your comments. We look forward to your response and to being of service to you. |
